For applications requiring specific light control, SmartOptics® family of products should be reviewed.  Designed to work for lighting applications across a broad range of wavelengths with materials chosen engineered at the nanoscale level for maximum performance. In addition to beam control and transmission, we also control the haze and clarify. Linear and discrete solutions available to meet specific requirements such as CBCP, tight min to max lighting ratio, symmetric and asymmetric patterns, reduced pixilation/headlamping, etc.

SmartOptics® Beam Control Remote:

  1. FlatLens® Remote Optics provides a wide range of beam shaping and light management properties, such as symmetric, asymmetric, and cosine beam distributions. Typical 0.5mm to 3mm thick are available in PMMA (acrylic) and PC (polycarbonate) and with Snap-On or slide-in features.
  2. On-Board Discrete LEDMate® secondary optics designed to be used in close proximity to match with individual LED. The optics provide the most efficient method for beam and color control while being easy to attach, and achieve collimation, symmetric, asymmetric, and NEMA/ANSI roadway light distributions.
  3. On-Board Linear LEDMate® secondary optics designed to offer major advantages over traditional optics. Used in close proximity to linear LED boards, the optics provide the most efficient method for beam and color control while being easy to attach. They can achieve collimation, symmetric, asymmetric, and cosine light distributions, and can be customized to fit almost any commercial linear LED module configuration.
  4. On-Board Array LEDMate® On-Board Array is a range of secondary optics designed to be used in close proximity to LED array boards. The optics provide the most efficient method for beam and color control while being easy to attach, and achieve collimation, symmetric, asymmetric, and cosine light distributions. On-Board Array can be customized to fit almost any commercial LED and module configuration.

SmartOptics® Light Guides

  1. Linear Guides allow the full scope of LED lighting products to be converted to edge-lit, from continuous linear through to precision downlights. EdgeTEK™ offers innovative approaches to extract light uniformly and efficiently in a wide range of 2D and 3D form factors.
  2. Laser-scribed Panel light guide creates a new range of architectural lighting fixtures for the marketplace. With Fusion Optix® proprietary laser scribing technology, a variety of surface patterns can be implemented on light guides for maximal light extraction and uniformity.
  3. Fusion Optix® can take decades of experience in designing and manufacturing light guides to support custom needs and requirements.

SmartOptics® Diffusers

  1. DiffusTEK™ Diffuser Optics wide range of diffusion properties, thicknesses and material choices, everything can be tailored and customized to fit your needs. It provides the highest levels of efficiency with the greatest range of options in beam angles, haze, clarity, and color performance.
  2. Extruded 2D and 3D profile optics can reach sizes up to 12 inches wide and 12 ft long. Combined with DiffusTEK™ technology, fine features at high precision with the best optical qualities in beam angles, haze, clarity, and color performance can be achieved.
  3. Diffusion Lenses & 3D high performance MicroTEK® optical films and sheet products. Rapid prototyping service in “soft” 3D printed tools can be used to quickly verify a design and it is optical performance. MicroTEK® thermoformed dome diffusers are available as standard in a wide range of heights and diameters.
  4. Fusion Optix® Films and Sheets offer a wide range of diffusion properties, thicknesses and material allows OEMs and designers to tailor and customize their needs and technology enables a superior light diffusion capability combined with extremely low light absorption for a variety of lighting solutions.

SmartOptics® Technical: Fusion Optix® Technical Optics offer solutions for high temperature, UV, and color tuning optics and Design & Manufacturing capability with high temperature material such as glass and silicone to tackle challenging requirements and deliver the solutions needed in the harsh environment. They have developed advanced optics with PCTFE (Polychlorotrifluoroethylene) for UV light applications. PCTFE is UV resistant and chemical resistant, a perfect choice of material for UV lighting fixtures. PCTFE-based optics can be thermoformed into the shapes and sizes to fit into various design needs.  Comprehensive capability to tune color (CCT, CRI, R9) and spectral properties in a range of film materials. ColorTune™ optics are available as discrete components, in roll or sheet form or as die cut parts.
