Design HMI working with technology providers like BOLB and Pelonis is developing in vehicle single passenger UVC Air Sanitization blower assembly. Usage can go across for office, schools, and other applications

This is no coincidence, as HEPA air filters are the foundation of quality air cleaning. UV-C light is also commonly used in air purification. When properly utilized, this invisible form of light can safely kill germs, mold, mildew, and in some cases even bacteria and viruses. As air passes through, UV-C light destroys >99.9% of airborne viruses, in a single pass.

Germicidal UV-C lighting is a method of air sanitization that has been used for decades in sensitive areas including hospitals and labs to kill airborne microorganisms. UV-C light works by disrupting the DNA of the virus, making it impossible to replicate.

The effectiveness of UVC lamps in inactivating the SARS-CoV-2 virus is unknown because there is limited published data about the wavelength, dose, and duration of UVC radiation required to inactivate the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Below is initial assembly design using Pelonis Blower with BOLB UVC LED  Modules.

Pelonis TITAN® DC blower ensures effective cooling via an innovative 28-blade impeller design and an aluminum alloy AD12 die cast base that absorbs and disperses heat effectively. It also includes a single coil differential drive that is incorporated into the internal electronics to maximize airflow and pressure. Each P1232-28 series blower model includes standard protection that enables the unit to restart if the impeller is blocked. Optional features include other “Intelligent Motion Controls” that can be added to the electronics to take full advantage of the blower’s performance and efficiency capabilities. These features include tachometer, rotation detection, life detection, pulse width modulation, automatic temperature control, current limit control, constant speed control, multiple alarm connections, and others. Various controls can also be programmed for custom output. Dust and moisture protection can be applied to the blower’s exposed areas and internal electronics to protect applications that are used in severe to very harsh environmental conditions.

UVC LED Arrays produce efficacious inactivation and BOLB is testing against SarsCOV2 aerosol and complex floating droplets

Far-UVC (222nm Wavelength) Bacteria Reduction

Lumenlabs’ patent-pending Lumenizer™️ 300 provides filtered germicidal ultraviolet Far-UVC (222nm wavelength) light to reduce SARS-CoV-2 and other harmful virus and bacteria.  safely while people are in the room. It is customizable and allows for adjustable angle for varying ceiling heights and desired intensity. Each Lumenizer™️ 300 fixtures can disinfect a 4m x 4m (13ft. x 13ft.) room with effective filtered Far-UVC solution.

The SilentAire UVC 4” Square Direct Mount Canless Downlight is a hybrid lighting solution that combines traditional LED ambient illumination with SilentAire’s internal ultraviolet germicidal air disinfection system that does not allow any direct exposure to UVC. No specialized controls, safety measures or training required. All SilentAire products are 100% ‘People Safe’ when in use and the space is occupied vs. direct UVC solutions that can be a health and safety risk if not properly operated.

Stanley Electrical retrofitted module that allows the glove box or console box in a car to be used as a disinfection box. It is equipped with 1pcs of 265nm UV-C LED that have high disinfecting capability, UV-C LED allows compact module size and achieves quick disinfection and includes protective circuit function, to prevent UV light from irradiating goods in the box for long time.

Acuity Brands Pathogen Inactivation is powered by the patented Care222® filtered 222nm technology, HDM inactivates pathogens* on surfaces and in the air – even with people in the space. Pendant, surface, and recessed forms with LED status indicator. Far-UVC light, specifically far-UVC light filtered to the 222nm wavelength, inactivates viruses and bacteria** at energy levels that do not penetrate living tissue in skin or beyond the tear layer in eyes, allowing this UV wavelength to be used in occupied spaces.

Ushio America, Inc. Care222™ Series, a new line of 222nm flat excimer lamps for microbial reduction and other product solutions for the Infection  features Care222 lamp that delivers 100% light output in less than a second, against conventional germicidal lamp starts at only 50% output and takes several minutes to achieve 100% output. ”

Available in 20W and 300W, these mercury-free and instant-start excimer lamps are ideal for bathrooms, toilets, countertops, and other occasional use applications.

Pro Photonix COBRA Clean FX1, is a compact, fan-cooled UVC LED lamp that provides a uniform line at four available wavelengths – 265nm, 275nm, 285nm and 310nm. The lamp is built utilizing Chip-on-Board LED technology for optimum intensity and uniformity and designed utilizing an established platform for reliability. It delivers a peak irradiance of 55 mW/cm2 and peak energy density (dose) of x 65 mJ/cm2. Lamp for evaluation enabling rapid development of disinfection solutions so you can determine the relevant characteristics  for maximized system performance.

New Semiconductor Chip from NS Nanotech Emits Far-UVC Disinfectant Ultraviolet Light to Neutralize Coronavirus – NS Nanotech is fast-tracking a consumer UV purifier the size of a coffee mug to deactivate airborne pathogens. NS Nanotech’s new nitride semiconductor chips are the first solid-state devices to emit far-UVC light at wavelengths ranging from 200-to-222 nanometers. Third-party research has shown that the invisible disinfecting light emitted in this wavelength range can neutralize more than 99.9% of airborne coronaviruses in their path, with less potential to harm human skin or eyes than longer-wavelength UVC light.

Christie Introduces far-UVC Light Fixture with Patented Care222 Technology Christie fixture uses Ushio’s patented narrowband filtered Care222 excimer lamps that emit far-UVC 222nm light UV technology shown to reduce pathogens continuously and significantly, like coronaviruses, that may also be used while people are present, when used in accordance with specified parameters. Christie CounterAct fixture contains two Care222 excimer far-UVC lamps that reduce pathogens on surfaces of any indoor space. The fixture, with fast instant on/off at full output power and its Care222 technology lamps, has been shown effective at reducing pathogens in laboratory tests. Unlike other UV technology, these fixtures with patented Care222 lamps may be used when people are present.

UV Medico: Japanese company Ushio, Inc. is the market leading manufacturer of bespoke UV, visible, and IR industrial lighting solutions. The UV222™ from UV Medico is based on technology produced by Ushio, Inc.

Barons Bus sees UV light as ‘the best way’ to disinfect coaches by integrating FAR UV lighting already been used to sanitize hospitals, operating rooms, and doctors’ offices. Krypton light disinfection (222nm wavelengths) provides human- and animal-safe, practical, and effective countermeasure for infectious disease and pathogens in occupied spaces.

Signify brings solutions in which UV-C radiation at 254nm is safe to use with people in the room. Their upper air disinfection systems are designed to allow people to be present underneath them during their operation. These systems are installed high up in the room and disinfect air through natural convection as it passes through a well-controlled and narrow UV-C irradiated zone that remains close to the ceiling. This zone is at a height above where people are typically present. The systems are positioned at least 2.3 meters off the floor and have shielding to ensure people underneath them are not exposed to the UV-C light source.
