Optipus PV – Energyskin
From a technical standpoint, the requirement seemed feasible since you need only a small, occasional energy supply, typically delivered within 10 minutes. It was noted that the battery (possibly a button cell or similar) appeared to increase in capacity over time. Initially, it was around 500mAh, it had reached 1000mAh.
This change affects the charging time of the battery. However, if the initial energy requirement remains unchanged, the impact is minimal. It simply means a larger energy storage Capacity. Optipus PV, theoretically, could bring enough energy with our design organic solution to charge the wireless vanity mirror or other items in vehicles.
Recommendation:
• Use the smallest possible battery/button cell.
• Keep the surface design as simple as possible – square, rectangular, or in strip form.

Even in the automotive ecosystem the number of electronic devices is booming but almost none are powered by renewable energy. 90% of individuals could experience “low battery anxiety” feeling when their device battery drops to 20% . In addition, this creates a massive electronic waste – disposable batteries and chargers will reach 82M tons by 2030.
The planet receives more than 63,000 times its annual electricity needs – in 1h, the Earth receives 170,000 TWh of solar energy.
The in-vehicle Visor Lighted Vanity Mirror is an ideal application. With the garage door opener moving to the Center Console the power want in the Visor is for the Vanity Mirror LED lighting. Design HMI has collaborated with Tier-1 suppliers and OEMs to develop design solutions that use coin cells as a power source, combined with an efficient power-saving control circuit. Still life cycle testing has identified want for three 1000 mAh or equivalent coin cells. That reduces assembly efficiency and reliability.
As I understand Energyskin is a fully personalized solar cell engineered for lifestyle electronics. Utilizing a hybrid production process combining printing and evaporation techniques, resulting in high conversion of light energy.

Energyskin is an innovative photovoltaic module designed to harness light and power electronic devices, eliminating the need for disposable batteries or bulky power cord. It acts as a seamless second skin for a wide range of electronic products, including headphones, e-readers, smart helmets, lamps, and much more…a wide range of electronic products, including headphones, e-readers, etc.
