This design concept is an Optional Advanced EPS Functions for OEM targeted for replacement of the traditional hydraulic power steering system by an electrical system (gearbox) that converts current into steering torque.
Requirements.
- The system can be pre-configured with different assistance levels according to OEM requirements, allowing drivers to select preferred steering assistance.
- When the vehicle is stationary, the EPS system switches to sleep mode to reduce overall vehicle power consumption, achieving energy saving and emission reduction.
ADAS Functions Achievable with DAC EPS and Upper-Level Controller and Automatic Parking Assist (APA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).
No Hardware modifications but only ECU software adjusting to achieve the steering performance optimization. Environmentally Friendly, Energy Saving (up to 7% reduction.
Simple Structure: Steer Column + Steer Gear. Total Assembling Time: about 7 minutes (no need to check fuel-related accessories).
