Below are different types of coatings that can enhance feature:

Anti-Reflection Coating – clear thin film to be applied to reduce the surface reflection by light interference. AR Coating reduces ghost images from the backside surface with multi-layer coating (Approx. hundreds nm thick) by physical vapor deposition. Lequa-Dry is suited for dry coating (Vacuum deposition), reflectance (bottom value) being 0.5% or less with excellent cosmetics and thickness can be 0.5mm to 5mm.

Anti-Smudge Coating: Avoids the Dirt and Fingerprints with few nm to more than a dozen nm thick organic coatings available. Anti-Fingerprint (AFP) / Smudge advantages are easy smudge removal by coating AFP layer which does not affect optical properties of Lequa-Dry and over 100-degree water contact angle

Hard Coating: Protect the surface of combiner from the scratches with sub μm to more than a dozen μm organic coating by wet method. Spec. of hard coating are dependent on customer’s request and hardness (Pencil hardness). It is also dependent on molding shape; coating method should be select carefully. Parts are normally molded by polycarbonate material, but surface condition varies depends on the molding condition.

Half Mirror Coating: Reflectance: 30 to 40 % mirror coating, with high transparency and multi-layer coating (Approx. hundreds nm thick) by physical vapor deposition.

Transfer tinting technology: This provides good stability of color, easy color control by ink-jet printer, possible for less dyeable material, dot-less gradation possible (Transferred in vacuum without contact) and multi color gradation possible.

Process of Transfer tinting:

  1. Print out special paper by ink-jet printer.
  2. Transfer dye from paper to lens by TTM-2000.
  3. Imbibing dye on lens in oven

Droplet-Prevention Film for Face Guard Coating: As premise, film cutting or providing of headset can be arranged at your side so that you have flexibility for cutting shape. Material would be PET 100um.
